Just a quick note to let you know that I’m going to be doing another Authors Note for TaleChasing shortly to catch you up with where I am on Guardians and as a side note, I while a short story from the Guardians ‘ world to put up as well in a few weeks. It’s in stages for audio production.

Over at TaleChasing.com (the site I run for both urban fantasy writers and readers) I posted my latest Author’s Notes 5. The Author’s Notes podcasts are intended to be the “DVD extras” for Guardians. So if you want info on what’s new, spoilers, and updates on how things are going keep that in mind. I don’t want to add them into the feed here incase people don’t want spoilers. But at the same time I want to give you the option to hear what’s going on.

Guardians Production Update: 11.16.09

Life just never gives up and neither will I. I’m sorry I’ve delayed this update but here it is. You will notice a new box on the menu side bar. This will show you all the progress and work I’m doing for Guardians. It will be updated with #guardians and will show up in the box if that tag is posted. It will also have Reagan’s twitter stream in it. You can follow her at @ReganFischer. Please keep in mind if you don’t see anything there that I’m not sure how long they keep but I’ll be trying to update everyday so that something should show up there.

I’ll stop the delay now and let you listen to the production update!

Update on Coming News

For those who don’t know I’ve been up with my mom in Wichita, Kansas for three weeks taking care of her in the hospital. I’ve spent the last three weeks except for two nights in her room making sure nothing goes wrong. I plan on turning this two and a half month ordeal into a set of articles that I hope will help others who go through similar situations. Surprisingly, there’s a lot to know.

Anyway, this has put both Tale Chasing and Guardians behind. I have a plan and I’ll be telling you what that plan is before the end of this month. I appreciate your patience while I have been away taking care of my mother. And she appreciates it as well.

Hi everyone. I know it’s been a month since there has been a new chapter or an Angellus Journal. There’s been lots of life interference and I wanted to give you a quick little audio update of what’s going on and what the plan is. Never fear though…plans are working along for more Guardians.

Guardians: Chapter 2

Welcome to Chapter 2! Thanks for coming back for the next episode of Guardians.

The Story up to now: Regan, a bodyguard for celebrities and socialites, escorts the mayor’s son to a museum benefit for a religious archeologist seeking more money. Before we get to find out much about the Dr or the people at the party, we find out that her contact Andre is missing, her sister goes out of her way to guilt her into coming to see her the next day and then that something is wrong that an old friend and one of the venue security think she needs to be in on.

Play close attention and you’ll find out what happened and some of the other important things that are about to turn Reagan’s life on it’s end.

Many of you have been waiting for the release of my podcast novel. I am getting closer by the day to Chapter 1’s audio release. It is currently in the recording phase.

However, because you’ve been so patient and because I’m figuring a lot of you might be like me…I’ve come up with an awesome new way to get your fix until it comes out. My favorite game to play at Christmas is “how many questions can I ask to see if I can guess what you got me?”

I’m giving you that opportunity. You can ask me, my characters, or my cast ANYTHING you want and one of us will answer. Can you get enough hints from us to guess where things are going? I may even keep up my question a week while the chapters are released! Just think of all the possible questions you can have answered!

With a few edits, some great help, and your encouragement everything is in motion. This month you can expect to see several special audio files being uploaded. The world of Guardians will begin to open up for you, and if you listen you’ll start to see some of the secrets this world holds!

Now that I’m several thousand words into the book, the actors are being assembled, the music is being set aside and the back-cover blurb is completely accurate for the plot of the book! Here is your first offical peek at the book, Guardians – the back cover blurb.

Who knew that a trip to a museum benefit to guard an underwear model could change a girl’s whole life? Raegan Fischer stepped into a closet but didn’t quite come out alone. Now she’s part of a secret but no one let her in on the rules. It’s set to put her smack in the middle of a celestial police investigation she’s not equipped to deal with.

In order to protect her sanity, her body, and people she cares about, she’s going to have to figure out who isn’t what they appear to be, play a game of spiritually enlightened catch up, and track down an artifact that holds a dangerous key to the whole thing.

Hey everyone. I wanted to drop a quick note because as I was not surprised…the natives are starting to get restless. I don’t blame you guys.

One of the “recent” posts said I was almost ready to release episode 1. As you can see…almost isn’t so almost.

As an update, things are going well with the book. I’m writing on it daily. Because I had some life situations that prevented things from going as fast as I wanted them, I decided to work on the book so that, as mentioned by David, I can stick to a release schedule that is stable and reliable.

I greatly appreicate your patience with me and will not be letting anyone down. The wait will be worth it I think.

Currently I’m on chapter 4 but the whole book is plotted so writing has been going easy and smooth.

As a quick side note…I added a page for the Guardian’s playlist. This is music that I listen to that inspires my world and characters. I add to it as more songs find me that apply. Enjoy.

Well, my plan was to put up a short story that I wrote and even got Lisa Tobias to read for me. But I didn’t have time to edit it. So….I think this will do nicely!

Just checking in with you guys to let you know I am home and I am working my butt off to get things moving. I updated TaleChasing with one of the interview and Guardians is next on the list. I expect you’ll be seeing the first chapter very soon. Thanks to everyone for their patience.

I also want to thank Cordage for sponsoring me the money to purchase Soundbooth 4! That is awesome and is going to go a LONG way to helping make Guardians sound even better!

I’m not proud, my biggest concern right now is finding all the money to make DragonCon. Donations will always be welcome.

Status of Chapter 1’s Release

The good news is, I’ve slotted the parts for everyone in Chapter 1 and I’m getting them recorded this week. My weekend is so packed with a family movie of “The Happening”, a TESFEST meeting on Saturday, and Father’s Day on Sunday I may not make my imposed deadline of July 15th but we won’t be far off! I’m started to get SO excited! I hope you are as well.
